My friend Hydnellum went to Japan recently and was surprised to find people still buying lots of physical media like CDs and DVDs, it has gone out of fashion in the USA, people mostly download everything
I think that's cool, although it can take some space in your room if you have a big collection

@deadheat @PekePeke I mean, I wasn't surprised considering I went there specifically to go to a CD sales party, but yeah. Japan is only now starting to get into Bandcamp and shit. When I started collecting 3-4 years ago none of what I bought existed online. Record stores are still huge and pretty widespread, they sell brand new walkmans in one of the chains, crazy stuff.
